Industry Leaders at Identity 2008 Conference Highlight Need to Drive Today's Information Economy Without Compromising Personal Information

Privacy Advocates, Business Leaders and Regulatory Officials Debate a Variety of Issues at Forum Showcasing the Growing Importance of Identity Intelligence as an Innovative, Consumer-Friendly Business Analytics Approach

SAN DIEGO, May 14, 2008 – ID Analytics, Inc., the leader in on-demand identity intelligence, today concluded its conference with a broad range of experts advocating the increasingly critical need to protect the privacy rights of consumers while driving the information needs of businesses and government agencies through robust analytical approaches. The conference also showcased how identity intelligence providers can help organizations make more insightful consumer lending, customer management, and other business decisions without adversely impacting personal information security.

ID Analytics hosted prominent leaders from the financial services, communications, healthcare, insurance, retailing, e-commerce, government, legal and academic fields at a cross-industry forum exploring identity intelligence and the business analytics challenges facing consumers and businesses.

"This year's Identity conference highlighted two intersecting trends and their associated challenges and opportunities: Organizations are looking for new analytics-based insight to drive growth, reduce risk, and enhance customer experience, while at the same time reacting to increasing pressures for more comprehensive consumer privacy protection," said Bruce Hansen, ID Analytics' chairman and CEO. "We are pleased to have hosted such a knowledgeable group of speakers, who offered valuable insights into these seemingly irreconcilable issues. We believe the need to achieve greater visibility and decision-making capabilities through identity intelligence, along with the need to implement best practices for handling consumer data, are both critical to addressing these industry challenges."

Several sessions focused on how identity intelligence offers unique visibility into the consumer through a complete view of each individual's identity characteristics, behavior and connectedness to other individuals, without exposing consumer data. Speakers and panelists also showed how identity intelligence can be used to enable superior risk and customer management decisions and to comply with regulatory mandates such as federal Red Flag rules.

More than 40 presenters addressed attendees at the three-day event, which included a keynote given by Federal Trade Commission Associate Director Joel Winston. Topics ranged from best practices for addressing online identity risk (where fraud rates are up to 10 times higher than traditional channels), to privacy in the age of analytics, to the future of consumer identity theft protection. Attendees also explored identity-related regulatory requirements, the debilitating effects of reputational damage from data breaches, and the unspoken threat of internal data theft, among other topics.

Selected session topics and keynote speeches will be made available on ID Analytics' website www.idanalytics.com.
